We hope as you tour this site that it will help you understand better what the fellowship of Molokai Baptist Church is all
about. If you're looking for a place to worship and grow in your understanding of God and His word we hope you will
attend as our guest soon. We meet for worship each Sunday at 10am (click here for directions).

We're a fellowship of Christ followers who have embraced the amazing grace of our loving heavenly Father through the
saving work of Jesus Christ on the cross. His grace is our story, our hope, and our strength for each day.

People come to MBC from a variety of backgrounds. From this variety, God is forming a unified community that is
answering the
call to share the gospel of Jesus and to strengthen Christ followers for worthy and effective service. We
embrace the Bible as God's truth
and it is central in our thinking, teaching, and goals for our ministry.

If you've ever visited the islands you know how we've been blessed with the incredible beauty of our surroundings.
Swaying palms, beautiful beaches, and cool ocean breezes are all a part of the scenery that surrounds us. With all the
beauty that we around us it might surprise you to know that there are a lot of people in "paradise" without hope.
Domestice violence, addiction, and family disfunction are just a few of the vices that have found a home here on our island
and rob people of the hope that can come through Jesus Christ. That's why we believe that the calling God has given to us
is to proclaim hope to our island.

The Message of Hope

The Problem

as it is written, "THERE IS NONE RIGHTEOUS, NOT EVEN ONE" - Romans 3:10

That verse simply means that no one is perfect. The ultimate standard of right or perfection is God and there is no one who is as good as God is. As people we can do
good things but we are never without sin or imperfection.

The Predicament

For the wages of sin is death... - Romans 6:23

The reality is that people are relational creations. We were made to have relationships with each other and ultimately with God our Creator. The predicament that we find
ourselves in is that a righteous perfect God can't have a relationship with a sinful people. He must remain separate from sin relationally. As the result the "wages" or
penalty for our sin is death - separation from God for eternity.

The Payment

...God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. - Romans 5:8

Another passage in the Bible (Ephesians 2:8-9) tells us that our good works won't take care of this sin predicament that we find ourselves in. We can do good things,
go to church, give to charity, be kind to others, but that just adds good works to our sin. The only hope for anyone desiring to repair their realtionship with God comes
through Jesus Christ. Jesus was God in human flesh coming to earth to die on a cross to be the payment for our sin. It is through faith in Christ that a person can have
their sin forgiven and find hope.

The Promise

...if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved - Romans 10:9

God has promised that anyone who believes in who Jesus is (God in the flesh) and in what He has done (died to pay the penalty of their sin) will be saved. What that
means is that the "wages" of their sin is removed or forgiven making it possible for them to have that relationship with God that they were created to have.

The Prayer

If you have never confessed Jesus as Lord and believed, put your faith, in Him for your salvation why not do it right now? Simply pray and tell God what you believe.
Here's a sample prayer that you can pray:

God, I know that I'm not perfect. I am a sinner. I believe that Jesus is God, that He came to die and pay the penalty for my sin and that He rose again from the dead.
Lord, please forgive me of my sin and come into my life. I want to have a relationship with you. Amen.

If you prayed receiving Jesus as Lord and Savior God's Word declares that you are saved, forgiven, and on your way to heaven. You have begun a relationship with
God. Like any relationship your relationship with God will only grow and strengthen as you get to know Him more. The way you get to know Him more is by reading His
Word the Bible. A great place to start is in the Gospel of John. Another important part of your spiritual growth is attending a church where the Bible is clearly taught
and where you can be encouraged by other Christians as well. If you need help in finding a Bible-teaching church in your area feel free to contact us. We'd love to help
you out.

Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. - Romans 15:13
